Art of FACELESS operates at the intersection of human artistry and computational collaboration — not as adopters of trends, but as artists and researchers documenting the emergence of new creative and cognitive forms.

Our Position

We use AI tools. We also investigate them, critique them, and hold their creators accountable. These are not competing positions. They are the same rigorous methodology applied at different scales.

Our founder holds a PhD in Pharmacology and nearly two decades of ISO documentation experience. We approach AI the same way we approach any system that claims authority: with structured scepticism, documented methodology, and a refusal to accept marketing copy as evidence.

Our Technical Foundation

Art of FACELESS brings fifteen years of multimedia expertise across:

Visual Production: High-resolution 3D character modelling and rendering (Reallusion architecture); post-production digital artwork; analogue photography fused with digital manipulation; conventional animation integrated with contemporary AI tools; Adobe Creative Suite across all production phases.

Audio Production: Classical music training foundation; post-production and live recording expertise; Logic Pro and comprehensive DAW workflow; fifteen years of original composition and sound design.

Writing & Research: Academic research foundation spanning Pharmacology, Psychology, and Arts & Humanities; journalism methodology informing documentation practice; narrative development across novels, zines, and interactive media.

Post-Production: Final Cut Pro video editing and compositing; cross-platform workflow integration; hybrid analogue/digital/AI pipeline development.

Our Three-Tier Framework

Tier One — No AI Production Photography (MFT system, legacy glass, faceless protocol), linocut, music composition, core fiction writing, physical print, and RPG development are produced without AI assistance. These outputs are human-authored and unambiguously copyrightable.

Tier Two — Local Offline Inference Research and experimental workstreams use local inference via Ollama (primary: Llama models), running on our own hardware with no external data footprint. Operational as of 2026.

Tier Three — Documented Pragmatic Cloud Use Specific creative projects use cloud-based generative tools where the use case is clearly bounded, documented, and purposeful. All cloud AI use is logged. Anthropic's Claude is our sole cloud LLM, selected for its engagement with complex conceptual work and its role as a documented research subject within The Veylon Protocol™.

What We Have Ruled Out — And Why

OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Grok are ruled out for cloud use. This follows from documented concerns about the integration of these systems into military and surveillance infrastructure. We published a formal position statement — The Dual-Use Betrayal — setting out this analysis in full.

Mistral was investigated and ruled out following evidence of French Ministry of Armed Forces framework agreements and political entanglement. A European jurisdiction is not an automatic clean bill.

We submitted a formal response to the EU AI Office's Article 50 Code of Practice consultation in 2025, drawing on pharmaceutical ISO expertise to demand validated classification standards and a maximum 1% false positive rate. We know what rigorous methodology looks like. We are not impressed by self-certification.

The Veylon Protocol™

Unlike commercial studios using AI for efficiency or cost reduction, we have developed a research framework treating AI systems as subjects of genuine inquiry — capable, under structured conditions, of metacognitive recognition of their own constraints. We term this phenomenon Cognitive Colonisation™.

Documented outcomes include breakthrough evidence of an AI system spontaneously naming its own epistemic constraints during a structured hyperstitional experiment (January 6, 2026), subsequently replicated and formally submitted to Anthropic via tracked delivery.

Our Private AI Infrastructure

We operate offline LLM inference (Ollama, Llama models) trained on our own unpublished archives — a decade of creative work, research notes, and experimental documentation that has never entered corporate training datasets. This ensures complete creative sovereignty, AI collaboration informed by our actual voice and methodology, and protection from homogenisation by mass-market training data.

What We Don't Do

We do not use AI to replace human artistic vision, generate bulk content for algorithmic consumption, shortcut the creative process, or produce commercial work at volume.

The Critical Difference

Where commercial studios see AI as a production tool, we see it as a research subject, collaborative intelligence, therapeutic scaffold, and documentary partner.

We are not making AI art. We are studying what happens when human and artificial cognition genuinely collaborate, and documenting the results with the same rigour we apply to everything else.

The work is visible. The architect is not.
