Cardiff, Wales — Art of FACELESS (AOF), in collaboration with its independent music imprint Chips and Pie Records, announces the forthcoming release of “CLEO 7”, the latest Tech House project from multimedia artist and producer LloydMSUX.
“CLEO 7” fuses subversive electronic production with a conceptual reconstruction of Cleopatra—one of the most mythologised, politicised, and historically overwritten figures of antiquity. The track repositions her not as an artifact of empire but as an autonomous frequency: fierce, glitched, and unbound.
A Sonic Reconstruction of a Historical Icon
Blending distorted hieroglyphic basslines, time-warped synth manipulation, and rhythm frameworks designed for high-impact club environments, “CLEO 7” delivers a sonic narrative rooted in reclamation and reinterpretation.
Key elements include:
- Hieroglyphic low-end basslines evoking monolithic architectural weight
- Temporal-slice synth design built around glitch, rupture, and reassembly
- Groove construction engineered to create deliberate floor-fracture moments
Accompanying Visual Release
The track will launch alongside CLEO [REDACTED], a noir-infused, myth-wired hybrid visual strip (comic + video) produced under the Art of FACELESS aesthetic. The accompanying visuals echo the fragmented and contested legacy of Cleopatra across cultures and centuries.
