PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Because a punk from Cardiff heard it in a tattoo parlour in Athens, and something in the circuit completed.

Cardiff / Athens — 2026

There is a version of events where none of this happened.

In that version, nobody went to Athens. Nobody stood outside a tattoo parlour on Vasilisis Amalias and heard, from somewhere that wasn't quite inside the room, a bassline that had been fighting its own arrangement for sixty years. Nobody watched ink move with geometry that shouldn't have been possible. Nobody said Awen was in yesterday in the tone of someone confirming a fact they expected to be received as strange news.

That version collapsed sometime around Episode 4 of Alt.Cardiff2026.

This is the version that remained.

THE TRACK

BACKGROUND: THE CIRCUIT THAT COMPLETED

Art of FACELESS does not believe in coincidence as a category. It believes in pattern density — the phenomenon by which enough interconnected symbolic events accumulate until causality feels redundant as an explanation.

Here is the pattern density, documented:

In late 2025, Lloyd MSUX produced a punk cover of Guantanamera. The arrangement is original. The bassline is glitched, antagonistic, and — according to people who've studied the track's effect on rooms — slightly wrong in a way that won't leave you alone. The chord structure of Guantanamera has spent approximately sixty years resisting the various arrangements that have been imposed upon it. Lloyd MSUX was not trying to solve that problem. Lloyd MSUX was trying to make it worse.

In early 2026, Awen Null was in Athens. Specifically: at Dark Days Tattoo, Vasilisis Amalias 32, Athina 105 58, Plaka. Specifically: an ink project with artist Aliss — Athenian, meticulous, working in blackout geometric traditions that, when rendered in motion on a moving human body, exhibit topological properties that probably warrant formal documentation.

During that session, or possibly after, or possibly at a threshold that doesn't parse linearly — the track came up. Awen described it as something weird about a punk version of Guantanamera. Aliss filed this under expected, given the clientele.

Neither of them knew that this conversation was already in the fiction.

In Episode 4 of Alt.Cardiff2026: The First Edition, serialised exclusively via ZineGlitch on Tumblr, characters Rwth and Rhiannon arrive in Athens through a junction architecture that was not supposed to be visible. They find themselves on Vasilisis Amalias. They find Dark Days Tattoo. They find Aliss. They are told: Awen was in yesterday. Said something weird about a punk version of Guantanamera.

The Plaka Valyphos was not supposed to be visible.

Neither was the connection.

Both became visible anyway. This is what Hyperstition Architecture™ looks like when it's working.

THE ARTIST

Lloyd MSUX is a music production alias of Art of FACELESS, recording for The Hollow Circuit™ under the independent content-farming-resistance label epicFAIL#. Lloyd MSUX writes, creates, and produces sound that exists outside and within the constraints of a human body. Previous releases include Can't Simulate This — a diss track directed at AI content farming of AOF's original intellectual property — and MIAOY: The Ailouros Protocol, a fully produced AI-assisted hip-hop single featuring an ancient Greek feline rap collective performing entirely in meow, as a postmodern, ironic track that directly challenges the current streaming debacle.

Guantanamera is neither of those things. Guantanamera is a punk cover of one of the most covered songs in recorded history, released in Spanish and English, with a glitched bassline, a fully licensed arrangement, and vocals that are currently non-human because the human collaboration this track deserves hasn't happened yet.

That collaboration is coming. Specific discussions are underway — in the sense that the circuit is open and Cardiff is full of artists who understand resistance as methodology. No dates are confirmed. Announcements will be made when they are made. The track will be performed live, in Welsh, English, and Spanish, with actual human bodies in the room.

This is not a promise. This is a transmission.

THE FICTION / THE FACT AXIS

Alt.Cardiff2026: The First Edition is the second serialised fiction series operating within The Hollow Circuit™ transmedia universe — a Wales Arts Review-listed transmedia project encompassing novels, music, visual art, serialised fiction, photography, and interactive media. The series is published exclusively on Tumblr under the ZineGlitch channel, in the tradition of the original zine distribution circuit.

Aliss appears in Episode 4 as herself, in the sense that all characters in The Hollow Circuit universe are simultaneously fictional constructs and resonance patterns drawn from real encounters. The Dark Days Tattoo address is accurate. The geometry of Aliss's own ink is documented. The conversation about the bassline happened.

Whether it happened before or after the episode was written is the kind of question AOF treats as methodologically interesting rather than logistically concerning.

HYPERSTITION ARCHITECTURE™

Hyperstition Architecture™ is a registered trademark of Art of FACELESS, formally designating the transmedia methodology developed across fourteen years of practice: the deliberate construction of narrative and symbolic systems that achieve operational reality through sustained creative deployment. Fictions that make themselves true. Patterns that become visible because you built the apparatus to see them.

The Guantanamera cover is not a hyperstition. It is a song.

The conversation in the tattoo parlour is not a hyperstition. It was a conversation.

The fact that the conversation appears, structurally intact, in fiction written around the same temporal coordinates — that is, either coincidence, retrospective insertion, or something the terminology of coincidence was not designed to handle.

AOF prefers the third option as a working hypothesis.

epicFAIL# — where spectacular failure, honestly documented, is more interesting than cautious success.

"Guantanamera." It means: woman from Guantánamo. It means: a farmer's daughter. It means: a 19th-century Cuban revolutionary poet whose verses were set to music by a man who wrote it for radio in 1929 and who could not have imagined a glitched punk arrangement produced in Athens/Cardiff in 2026 by someone who heard its ghost in a tattoo parlour in Athens.

The song has been covered approximately ten thousand times. This is the one where the bassline fights back.

2,500 YEARS OF STORIES. ONE MORE JUST ARRIVED.

The Acropolis has seen a few things. Democracy. Philosophy. War. Mythology. The slow grind of centuries turning marble into memory. And on St David's Day 2026, somebody is holding a paperback in front of it that contains circuits, ghosts, a city that doesn't quite exist, and at least two women who are extremely confused about where they are. The Hollow Circuit Book One — 2nd Edition — is out now on Kindle. The physical copy arrived in Athens first. Because of course it did. This is what
