So let's just say it and be clear. We're not affiliated with you i.e. plzdontkillus.com . Not partnered, not endorsed, nobody signed anything, nobody was asked. Nobody asked us to write this post. We grabbed plzdontkillus.online off the back of your name, and we've been posting under #plzdontkillus for 14 days straight without a word to you about it. If that was confusing to anyone, it isn't now.

Are we taking the piss, using your bootcamp's reach for our own thing? Sort of, in a British kinda way; yeah, we are. No point lying about it. We run this on fuck all — no grant, no funding round, no famous mentor turning up to lend it credibility, no bloke off the telly to make it respectable. Just people who've kept a project going because we give a shit about it. When something with your kind of reach opens up using nearly the same four words we'd already been sitting on for years, we weren't going to just let that go past. That's the only leg-up a project like ours ever gets. So we took it.

But here's the bit that actually matters, and it's not a dig: we're not coming at this from the opposite side. We've got the same worry you have. AI risk, what it does to people, what it's already doing to people — that's not a difference between us; that's the whole reason The Hollow Circuit® exists in the first place, fourteen years running. The difference is just the angle. You're doing it as a countdown, real names, real stakes, get people to feel it before it happens. We're doing it as speculative fiction with a philosophical spine — same fear, same subject, but asking a slower question underneath it: not just "does AI wipe us out," but "who's already inside the word 'us' and who's quietly been left off the list while everyone's watching the clock." That's what plzdontkillus.online has been running as, since day one, using the same tag on purpose the whole way through, because it's the same conversation, just a different room.

Call it alt-journalism if that helps. Call it made-up stuff wearing a press pass it never earned. Fair either way. We're not saying we're journalists, and we're not speaking for you. We're just saying to anyone, we've got as much right to run our own signal in the same public space as yours, same tag, out in the open, name on it.
